Island Hvar

Frequently hailed as the "new St-Tropez", Hvar is now dripping with glamour as yachts glide into stunning Hvar town harbour disgorging the beautiful, the celebrated, the rich. The streets lined with newly renovated Venetian townhouses are a backdrop for visitors from all walks of life. From honeymooners to backpackers to yachties to retirees, everyone wants to see what the fuss is about.
One thing to make a fuss about is sunshine. Hvar Island boasts 2718 hours of sunshine a year, making it Croatia's sunniest island. You can count on the warm Adriatic sun in winter just as you can count on the softly rounded islands lying just offshore that make a stroll along Hvar harbour incomparably beautiful.
Even when the sun goes down, Hvar shines with the best nightlife on the Adriatic. The harbourside bars and cafes are the stuff of legend providing entertainment from after-beach to before-breakfast.
